Revolgy will be offering Google Cloud Solutions for European Research and Education Institutes
15. 2. 2020, Prague – Czech cloud company Revolgy won the OCRE tender as a cloud services provider and has been officially selected within the GÉANT IAAS+ Framework Agreement for offering Google Cloud Solutions, as Original Infrastructure Provider (OIP) for all Research
and Education Institutes in the Czech Republic, Estonia, and Serbia.

University’s technical infrastructure requirements are pretty complex with many diverse services and applications that must be secure, agile, and scalable. Google Cloud enables all of these demands and researchers will be able to benefit from Google cloud-based services and Revolgy partner support. Challenges such as the high cost of services or endless tenders can now stay in the past. The members of European National Research Education Networks are eligible to use the public cloud agreements negotiated through the OCRE framework without any additional procurement being required – the ready-to-use agreements comply with EU data protection law which allows you to use the services directly.
Quite simply said they will save money and time. According to GÉANT Cloud Services institutions already using cloud services have achieved cost savings of up to 30%, after moving to the framework contracts.
Researchers can also benefit from Revolgy services such as dedicated onboarding sessions for the Google Cloud Project, additional discounts, 24/7 support services with dedicated support channels and a variety of support packages, access to Senior Certified Experts and Engineers
working closely with the Google Products teams. From a technical point of view, there are also multiple APIs dedicated to research activities such as Healthcare or Life Sciences.
All services are Standard Framework Agreement compliant with EU data security and privacy regulations. All cloud platforms are sourced through the OCRE IaaS+ Tender and are available through the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) in the OCRE Cloud Catalogue.
